Constructed with 10/6/5/4mm steel.

The bow & stern have delicately exagerated curves and scroll details to the handrails add an attractive finish.

Summary

A lovely 57ft cruiser stern shell with window apertures to suit a standard reverse layout.  The hull and superstructure have been constructed in 10,6,5,4 steel gauge.  The rear cabin area offers plenty of light through large 36”x21” window openings with steel side door, a nice feature for any style of fitout.

Positioned in the forward cabin area are four 15” porthole openings, situated in shower and bedroom areas. Steel front doors open onto a spacious well deck area with integral water tank positioned underneath. The bow has been inspired by a josher design with lovely scrollwork detail and has a large gas locker which will accommodate two 13Kg gas bottles with securing points. At the rear, the cruiser stern is complete with curved back rail with lockage control panel column securing the engine control panel. The engine bay is fully painted with a steel battery tray ready for a battery bank and is fully fabricated with support bars for electrical wiring and engine installation. A stern tube is fitted ready to suit a traditional stern gear kit.

Summary

Summary

Offered for sale having recently been surveyed by the current owners who have acquired another boat. We are aware following the survey that re-plating will be needed but having had a New E.P.Barrus Shanks engine fitted in August 2011 and as the exterior was re-painted in 2010 the boat is priced to sell.
The overplating work has been estimated at this time to be somewhere in the region of £11,000.

Shell construction

Constucted by Harland & Wolf in 1990 and fitted-out by Black Prince narrowboats.

Style / Layout

From the rear semi trad stern, steps lead down into the aft cabin area. Two single beds with storage beneath are situated port and starboard ideal for children or adults. Following through a central corridor passes an offset toilet compartment with wash basin and wardrobes either side.

Centrally is the master bedroom with a fixed double bed and then corridor with side doors leading to the main bathroom.

The bathroom is both offset and cross-over, being large enough to be used in either way. The bathroom is fitted with a large corner shower unit, pump-out toilet and wash basin.

Following though, a central door leads into the galley style kitchen with houdini hatch above leaving a generous amount of work and storage space. The conveniences include 12v fridge, 4-burner gas hob, oven & grill and stainless steel sink/drainer set into tiled worktops.

The forward saloon is light and airy. Extra-large opposing windows go right down to the gunwales allowing diners to enjoy the scenery from the cross-over dinette. The cabin is centrally heated but is complimented by a potbelly stove in the living area set in a tiled hearth.

Heating

Ellis Gas central heating supplies three radiators throught the cabin and there is also a pot-belly stove set in a tiled hearth.

Electrical systems

Lighting and systems throughout the boat are 12v, supplied by 3x 110Amp domestic batterries sittuated tin the engine bay.

Plumbing systems

Domestic water is supplied from a integral water tank throughout the boat and the boat is fitted with a twin-coil calorifier providing hot water.

Summary

A perfect starter boat which is ideal for two people looking for a weekend or holiday boat. La Nora Blanche has been well maintained and well-loved over the years, definitely worth viewing!

From the cruiser stern, a side door enters a popular reverse layout. The galley provides excellent use of space with good storage facilities. Conveniences include gas fridge and freestanding gas oven, grill and hob. A folding breakfast bar with stools accommodates two people with central saloon area which with solid fuel stove and wall mounted television, provides a comfortable area to sit back and relax.

The shower room consists of privacy doors which forms a cross bathroom and contains a porta potti and vanity unit along with a shower in its own enclosed area. The bedroom consists of two singles which can easily convert into a large double bed; generous storage is provided underneath.

Style / Layout

Heating is provided by a Tor Gem solid fuel stove situated in the saloon area on a tiled hearth. An additional gas fired heater is situated in the saloon.

Electrical systems

BRAND NEW 2+1 batteries consisting of leisure and engine start. 12V dc power is fed from batteries located in engine bay to 12v consumer unit at rear of cabin powering various appliances. A Nikkai 300W inverter can be easily plugged into a 12V supply located throughout cabin which is ideal for powering a television and other low power appliances. A BRAND NEW alternator controller has been recently fitted and is a fantastic device for maintaining battery power. 12v wall lights and down-lighters are situated throughout cabin area with 12v power sockets throughout. A wall mountedflat screen television is situated in the saloon area.

Plumbing systems

Integrated water tank situated in the bow supplies fresh water to cabin. Water is heated by a Paloma Gas fired water heater situated in the galley area and heats water supplied to galley taps and to shower. The shower room area is walk through maximising space with Thetford porta-potti and shower enclosure.

Additional information

A fantastic starter boat which would be perfect for first time buyer. Lanora Blanch has been well loved by her former owners and it shows. Complete with cruising gear all ready for the 2012 season. She has in the last month had new batteries and intelligent alternator controller costing £850.

Summary

Just completed by Dream Narrowboats, a brand new boat completed to a very high standard on a Mike Christian/Tim Tyler shell.
From the trad stern, steps lead over the enclosed engine into the rear bedroom with 4’6”fixed double bed and overhead cupboard. Plenty of storage is provided with three full-height cupboards within the bedroom, one of which forms a large airing cupboard. A separate bathroom contains a pump-out toilet with remote tank, shower cubicle with towel storage alongside and vanity unit with counter-top basin.

The galley is fitted with modern conveniences including two full sized fridges and with separate freezer compartments, oven, grill and 3 burner gas hob with electric hot plate. A built-in washing machine is neatly positioned under a large ceramic sink and drainer. 

The galley opens past a breakfast bar into a large open plan saloon. Two leather chairs provide comfortable seating positioned in front of a solid fuel stove set on a raised plinth with tiled surrounds; a television cupboard is positioned opposite. Steps lead up to the front deck with glazed cratch frame and cover.  The boat is fitted out in ash, with diagonal 20mm solid ash T&G above gunwale level. Flooring is in 18mm solid oak except for tiled bathroom.  The boat has been fitted out with liveaboard in mind, but would make an excellent holiday boat with capacity for extended cruising.
