Summary

A virtually new boat, having been used on occasion by the designer who is now a retired boat builder. Chestnut X the tenth boat built by the Chestnut Marine has been designed for long term cruising or living aboard. Having more than 42 feet of cabin space this reverse layout cruiser feels spacious and airy.

Stepping down from the stern into the cabin is the living area fitted with a solid fuel stove, TV cabinet & L-shaped dinette. Free standing armchairs and a coffee table make for comfort.
Continuing through leads into the Galley. With fully tiled walls, a full cooker and a large fridge freezer it is well equipped. There is also a washing machine space for those who need it.

Beyond the galley is an offset shower room flanked by a corridor. The bathroom is fitted with cassette toilet, wash basin and a fully-tiled shower.
Fore is the double bedroom which has generous storage to include under bed drawers, overhead cabinets and six storage cupboards.

The boat is powered by an Isuzu 42HP diesel engine with a PRM 150 D2 hydraulic gearbox for smooth operation.

Shell construction

Built by Skater Marine Ltd in 2010 Chestnut X is a Cruiser style narrowboat with steel rear doors & hatch, half glazed steel doors fore and steel side doors also.

Constructed with 10/6/5/4mm steel.

The bow & stern have delicately exagerated curves and scroll details to the handrails add an attractive finish.
