boating information
brokerage – overview
Our aim is to make the sale or purchase of your boat as painless as possible. Our staff have many years experience of boats and boating and, whether you are buying or selling, will guide you through the process and give you as little or as much help as you require.
Boats will either be on a mooring within the marina or on hardstanding on the marina site. The former will generally be owned by full-time moorers and it may be possible to take that mooring on. Boats on hardstanding may have the option of a mooring if one is available. All viewings will be accompanied by a brokerage staff member. A detailed inventory will show the prospective buyer exactly what is included in the sale so there are no surprises when the boat is handed over.
Boat surveys are the responsibility of the prospective purchaser; where the boat is already out of the water a large part of the cost incurred in boat surveys, the slipping or drydocking, will not be necessary, so making a survey easier and cheaper for the buyer.
The marina has a wide range of services available on-site so blacking, anodes, joinery, painting, even stretching, can be arranged easily and conveniently.
Our knowledgeable staff are always willing to talk through any areas informally and without commitment. We are here to help you and make your sale or purchase go smoothly with no pitfalls. Please feel free to call us, seven days a week, if you have any questions.
